Your children are not the only ones who loves ice cream…. All process engineers at Denmark’s best workplace for seniors love ice cream too! At Process Engineering we do not restrict ourselves just to eat ice cream. We also design the process equipment and several of our employees have produced ice cream at companies such as Premier Is, Mejerigaarden A/S, Krølle-Bølle Ice Cream at Bornholms Andelsmejeri and Kuwaiti Danish Dairy Company.

Ice cream production is up-stream comparable with many other dairy products when it comes to handling of ingredients, mixing, pasteurisation and ripening. Process Engineering has many years of experience with up-stream processes and our global reference list is very long. Down-stream Ice cream production is done by specialised machinery starting from the ice cream freezer to machinery for ice-lolly sticks, ice cream cones, ice cream cups, packaging and palletising. Process Engineering’s knowledge to down-stream machines means that the customer can leave the technical handling of the project to us.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀
Process Engineering Food & Biotech division consists of a team of around 30 skilled engineers and technicians with a total of more than 400 years of experience within project management, pre-engineering, process design, installation, and commissioning.

From project start Process Engineering first recommends lying a solid groundwork for the project work. This can be done by a process flow diagram that gives the project partners and project team an overview of the extent of the project. The process flow diagram can be combined with the mass balance which ensures the control of the production capacity. A production time schedule is very useful to verify the process design and is planned in close cooperation with the customer. All design criteria is agreed in advance to avoid potential misunderstandings about the process design. After having laid the groundwork for the process design, the detailed process design is initiated and a variety of services are performed such as a PI diagram, item lists, machinery arrangement, specifications, energy balance, process descriptions, 3D models etc. We offer site management during installation and commissioning engineers during process plant commissioning.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀
Process Engineering’s experience with all relevant project phases means that we can offer services within conceptual and basic design, detailed design, installation, commissioning, and senior project management to all customers. Process Engineering offers EPCM-Contracts which in short term is an agreement about delivery of technical services. Process Engineering performs detailed process design for the integrated process plant before the project is offered under the EPCM-contract. Performance guarantees are individually agreed with the sub-suppliers and issued directly to the end user. This ensures the performance guarantee on the process plant. EPCM-contracts results traditionally in a CapEx of 10 to 30 %

Hennig-Olsen Is is a leading manufacturer and marketer of ice cream and frozen desserts with a market share of more than 50% in Norway. The company is known as “The Cream of Ice Cream” and is ranked as one of the strongest in Norway.

Hennig-Olsen Is has expanded their production facilities to prepare the company for continued growth. They have also the ambition of becoming a world leader in ice cream production.

Process Engineering Norge AS was appointed as consultant on the process plant during the expansion and helped Hennig-Olsen Is by means of technical competencies in hygienic process plants, review of solution proposals, selection of contractors and economic follow-up on deliveries, time schedule and contractors.

We helped Hennig-Olsen Is with the project from the beginning in which our team at Hennig-Olsen Is has assisted in preparing conceptual design, budgets, tender material and contracting of deliveries. Later, we were appointed as responsible for the project management in the realization phase of the project.
